OBANIKORO HAS IMPLICATED GOV. FAYOSE IN A FRESH CASE BEFORE EFCC
Musiliu Obanikoro has reportedly implicated the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose while being interrogated at the office of EFCC over his involvement in the transfer of N4.745billion traced to him.
The former minister has reportedly disclosed how he handed over $5,377,000 cash to Governor Ayo Fayose.
The two time Senator who confessed this after spending a night in the EFCC’s custody, allegedly implicated Gov Fayose in the N4.745billion wired to a company linked to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
According to a report by Nation Newspaper, Obanikoro reportedly said N2.23billion out of the N4.745billion was transferred to Gov Fayose.
The report further revealed that Obanikoro also narrated how over N1.3billion was received by the governor’s associate, Abiodun Agbele.
The ex-Minister also reportedly admitted that the N1.3billion was flown to Akure airport in two chartered flights for delivery to Agbele.
The EFCC had accused Obanikoro of getting N4.745billion from the $2.1billion meant for arms from the Office of the National Security through Sylva Mcnamara Limited.
