“ASUU” CALLS OFF WARNING STRIKE

“RESUME IMMEDIATELY”: ASUU DECLARES.

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called off its one week warning strike. The warning strike was due to Federal Government non implementation of the 2009 agreement.

Speaking in Abuja, President of ASUU, Professor Abiodun Ogunyemi declared yesterday that all members are to return to their normal duties immediately.

““We are making progress, especially with the intervention of the Senate. In the next one or two meetings, if we are able to get a clear path to the matter, we will avoid elongation of the strike action”

“I have been receiving these reports that we says strike continues. No. The strike ends today (Tuesday). All lecturers are to go back to work Wednesday morning.”, he added.
